Projects

The Department of Human Resource Management has a rich experience with the carrying out of scientific and research projects. For illustration purposes we present the following:

  1. The Human Resource Management in Transition at Multinational Companies project: The experience from branches of transnational corporations in Central and Eastern Europe [CEE] are brought to bear in the international project dealing with HR processes; in which the Department of Human Resource Management is a partipant; in the said branches. The project Human Resource Management in Transition at Multinational Companies: The experience of the branches of the multinational companies in Central and Eastern Europe is being carried out by an international research team which is made up of academic workers from universities of Central and Eastern Europe [Central and Eastern European International Research Team: CEEIRT]

  2. This is a long term research project, which identifies the changing practices used in HRM, and the changing role of Human Resources in the branches of the multinational companies. CEEIRT has already carried out research which was focused on this issue twice, successfully, during the periods 2008 – 2009 and 2012 – 2013.]

  3. The aim of the research for 2015 is to deepen understanding of current and future challenges in HRM, because they get new, complex and dynamic dimensions. The Czech Republic is included in the research for the first time. Katerina Legnerova is the manager of the project in the CR, while its coordinator is Zuzana Dvorakova.   4. Technological Modernisation; Socio-Demographic Changes. (Technological Upgrading: the Socio-Demographic Dimension). The Department of Human Resource Management participates in the international research project: Technological Modernisation; Socio-Demographic Changes (Technological Upgrading: Socio-Demographic Dimension), which was carried out within the framework of the Programme for Increasing Competiveness of the Ural Federal University, under the first president of the Russian Federation, B.N. Yeltsin ((Programme for the Improving of the competitiveness of the Ural Federal University, which is named after the first President of the Russian Federation, Boris Yeltsin). The main research body, which is involved in this project, is the Institute of National Management and Enterprise [Institute of Public Administration and Business; http://igup.urfu.ru] in the period 2013 – 2020.]

  5. Professor Zuzana Dvorakova leads the UEP working group in the section: The Influence of the Activities of the Organisation on the Social and Health Level of the Employees‘ Lives [the so called phenomenon of „Social Pollution“.]

  6. Completion of the centralised development project C24/2d: „ Development of Teaching in the Area of CSR on the Basis of Sharing Universities‘ Previous Experience in the Area“. Submitting body: the Ministry of Education, Youth and Physical Training; period during which the project is to be carried out: 1st. January, 2014 to the 31st December, 2014. Project coordinator: Czech Life Sciences [Doc. Ing. Tomáš Šubrt, Ph.D. Chief researcher for the UEP: Prof. Ing. Zuzana Dvořáková, CSc. (Department of Human Resource Management).]

  7. Completion of the project: „Systemic setting of Human Resource Management in the Administrative Offices of Prague 7“; registration No.: CZ.1.04/4.1.01/89.00008. It is financed from funds of the operational programme: Human Resources and Employment. The public tender is financed by the ESF and the state budget of the Czech Republic, by means of the operational programme: Human Resources and Employment. Prof. Ing. Zuzana Dvořáková, CSc. (project leader) and Ing. Marek Stříteský, Ph.D are carrying out the project on behalf of the Department of Human Resources.

  8. The main researcher was the Research Institute for Safety at Work. Another co-researcher was the Sociological Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the CR. The registration number was: 1J 039/05-DP1. The period during which the work was carried out was: 2005 – 2008.
